Paestum and its beauties

We are within a magnificent area yet fortunately, exclusively for niche tourism and connoisseurs, Paestum, the flagship of Campania tourism and the ideal place from which to start to visit the most beautiful places; charming and picturesque of Cilento.

Brilliant waterways, great beaches of very fine sand alternating with rocky stretches and caves; magnificent woods where mushrooms and chestnuts grow, suggestive villages where ancient peasant customs survive, Cilento never ceases to enchant travelers: Pollica, the most celebrated sea; clean of Italy, Castellabate, an award-winning ancient village in Italy and perched on its manor, Agropoli, (with its tourist port from which the upper city, with its Byzantine castle of the sixth century and its Aragonese portal, seems condensing into a single monument, like a chameleon camouflaged among rough rocks that the eye can see slowly), laughing and cheerful, it thrives on a sparkling nightlife and entertainment.

And again: the imposing ruins of Paestum, the harmonious gardens of the Certosa di San Lorenzo, the vestiges of ancient Elea, crown a marvelous coast reflected in adamantine waters, from the vast beaches of Palinuro to the superb Amalfi cliffs, overlooking the sea. </ p>

Not far from most places; beautiful of Campania, Salerno, Pompeii and Naples; a few kilometers south of the Amalfi coast and north of the Cilento coast, Paestum is the gateway to the Cilento National Park.
